KYIV. Oct 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection has extended the deadline for submitting documents confirming phytosanitary inspections in places where corn and soybeans are grown and stored to form lists of exporters to the People’s Republic of China (PRC), the department’s press service reported.
“Based on the results of the October 18, 2023 meeting of the Coordination Council on Logistics in Agriculture, the deadline for submitting documents confirming the implementation of phytosanitary procedures at growing sites and storage sites of corn and soybeans in order to include a person in the list of persons who plan to export corn and soybeans to the PRC, and the lists of storage locations from which corn and soybeans are planned to be exported to China have been extended until November 1, 2023,” the statement says.
Documents confirming phytosanitary inspections of places where corn and soybeans are grown and stored must be submitted to info@dpss.gov.ua.
Previously, the deadline for accepting documents was October 16.
These lists are formed in order to ensure compliance with the requirements of the protocol of phytosanitary and inspection requirements for the export of corn and soybeans from Ukraine to the PRC.
“We also inform you that the basis for making a decision to refuse to issue a phytosanitary certificate for re-export is the non-compliance of the regulated objects with the requirements of the phytosanitary measures of the importing country,” the State Consumer Service recalled.
