By KYIV. Oct 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Volyngaz came under state control and became part of the Naftogaz group, the company announced on Friday.
“This is the 17th regional gas distribution enterprise that has come under state control since the beginning of the year. The changes were due to the need to solve strategic energy problems related to the reliable protection of critical facilities, as well as the speedy restoration of infrastructure in the event of enemy attacks,” the group noted.
Volyngaz provides gas distribution to budgetary organizations and more than 250,000 houses in the region.
“Tariffs for distribution services and personal accounts for residents of the region remain unchanged. We will inform you additionally about changes in details,” Naftogaz informed.
