KYIV. Nov 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Electricity exports in October amounted to 69,840 MWh, which is 37% less than the September figure (111,100 MWh), which was a record this year, DiXi Group reported.
According to estimates published by the group on Facebook, 66% (46,460 MWh) went to Slovakia, 34% (23,380 MWh) to Moldova.
The DiXi Group drew attention to the fact that compared to October last year, after the first ten days of which exports ceased due to the Russian terrorist campaign of attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, this October the volume of supplies has decreased by more than half.
Electricity imports in October of this year amounted to 17,200 MWh. Compared to the September figure, imports decreased by 27.7% (then it was 23,800 MWh). By October last year it had grown 11.5 times.
Of this volume, 81% (14,000 MWh) came from Slovakia, 10% (1,700 MWh) from Poland, 9% (1,500 MWh) from Moldova.
The group’s experts said that Ukraine imported electricity from Poland for the first time in two months.
In general, exports exceeded imports four times in October.
