Metinvest pays UAH 11 bln in taxes to Ukraine's budget

KYIV. Nov 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The mining and metallurgical group Metinvest in January-September of this year, taking into account associated companies and joint ventures, transferred almost UAH 11 billion in taxes and fees to the budgets of all levels in Ukraine.

Despite the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Rinat Akhmetov’s Metinvest remains a pillar of the country’s economy, according to a company press release on Thursday.

Ukrainian enterprises of Metinvest paid UAH 2.8 billion in profit tax, UAH 2.4 billion in single social security contribution and UAH 2.3 billion in personal income tax in January-September of this year. At the same time, Metinvest increased land fees by 4% in the first nine months compared to the same period in 2022, to UAH 893 million.

Significant sources of filling the state and local budgets of Ukraine were fees for the use of subsoil – UAH 1.5 billion and environmental tax – UAH 449 million.

In the third quarter of 2023, the group transferred UAH 4.6 billion to the Ukrainian budget, which is 15% higher than the amount for the same period last year.
