KYIV. Nov 13 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Farmers from all regions of Ukraine threshed 71.5 million tonnes of grains and oilseeds – 51.275 million tonnes and 20.239 million, respectively, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food has reported.
According to the press release, grain and leguminous crops was harvested on an area of 9,840 hectares with a yield of 5.21 tonnes per ha.
To date, in Ukraine, the collection and threshing of barley has been completed from 1505 thousand hectares (101% of the plan), of which 5.890 million tonnes were received; wheat – 22.409 million tonnes from 4,695 hectares (101%); peas – 398,200 tonnes from 154,400 hectares (103%), as well as rapeseed – 4.005 million tonnes of seeds from 1,396 hectares (98%).
The harvest of millet is being completed, of which 178,900 tonnes were received from 79,000 hectares (94%), and buckwheat – 206,570 tonnes from 139,200 hectares (98%). At the same time, 21.218 million tonnes of corn were threshed from 2.932 million hectares (60%).
In addition, 974,100 tonnes of other grains and leguminous crops were threshed from 336,200 hectares.
In Ukraine, work continues on oilseeds, which have been harvested from a total area of 8.096 million hectares. In particular, sunflower was threshed – 11.520 million tonnes (11.310 million tonnes a week earlier) from an area of 4.911 million hectares (94%), soybeans – 4.713 million tonnes (4.643 million tonnes) from 1.788 million hectares (97%).
Sugar beets were dug from an area of 211,300 hectares (183,800 hectares a week earlier), which amounted to 50% of the planned area. It received 10.098 million tonnes.
The Ministry of Agrarian Policy also monitors information on agricultural yields, which for wheat amounted to 4.77 tonnes per ha, barley – 3.92 tonnes per ha, peas – 2.58 tonnes per ha, millet – 2.26 tonnes per ha, buckwheat – 1.49 tonnes per ha. The yield of corn is 7.24 tonnes per ha, rapeseed – 2.87 tonnes per ha, soybeans – 2.63 tonnes per ha, sunflower – 2.35 tonnes per ha. Sugar beet yield is 47.79 tonnes per ha.
