About 70,000 citizens move from Donetsk region to safe regions during 9 months of mandatory evacuation – Ministry of Reintegration

KYIV. May 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – About 70,000 citizens moved from Donetsk region to safe regions during the nine months of mandatory evacuation, the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories reports.

“Since August 2022, there has been mandatory evacuation from Donetsk region. Thus, in the nine months, about 70,000 citizens have moved to safe regions. Among them, more than 8,000 children and more than 3,000 people with limited mobility,” the ministry’s press service said.

It is noted that the evacuation from the de-occupied territories also continues, which began in the autumn of 2022.

Thus, more than 25,000 citizens left Kharkiv region in the eight months, and more than 23,000 people evacuated from the recently liberated territories of Kherson region in the six months.
