By KYV. May 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On May 4 at night, the Ukrainian forces for the first time managed to shoot down a Russian aero-ballistic missile Kinzhal, Ukrainian Air Force Commander, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleschuk has said.
“I congratulate the Ukrainian people on this historic event! Yes, we shot down a ‘Kinzhal that has no analogues’,” he said on the Telegram channel on Saturday.
Oleschuk noted that a MiG-31K aircraft fired the Kh-47 missile from the territory of Russia and it was destroyed with the help of the Patriot air defense system.
He also said that one should not ahead of time make public information that could be used by the enemy.
