KYIV. May 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has filed a case against Elixir Ukraine LLC, which, following an auction by the State Property Fund (SPF) on January 17 this year, acquired the property complex of Ust-Dunaisk Seaport state enterprise.
According to the agency, the consideration of the case began in May, the markets of stevedoring services, fleet services and cargo storage services within the port of Ust-Dunaisk are involved in the concentration.
Elixir Ukraine, part of the Vimeksim Group, paid UAH 201 million and UAH 40 million of VAT for the port in mid-February and announced plans to build a grain elevator and new access roads in the port in April.
Ust-Dunaisk port consists of three assets: the port in Vilkovo (Odesa region), the port station Kiliya in the eponymous city and the base for servicing special ships-background carriers on the island Shabash. Direct loading and unloading operations are carried out in the port station Kiliya, located at 54 km of the Danube River. Passport depths at the berth – 3 m, actual – 1.5 m.
Elixir Ukraine is part of the Vimeksim Group, founded in 2010, which specializes in the processing and export of grains and oilseeds, as well as in the provision of logistics services. Since 2016, it has been the official representative of Elixir Zorka – a factory for the production of complex mineral fertilizers in Šabac (Serbia), and has been selling complex mineral fertilizers in Ukraine.
The company is managed by Oleksandr Vikhrenko, the beneficiary is the owner of Vimeksim, Valeriy Vikhrenko.
