KYIV. Nov 22 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The movement of trucks across the Slovak border checkpoint Vyšné Nemecké towards Ukraine continues, Spokesperson for the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko has said.
“Last night, during communication with the Slovak border guards, we received information that traffic in this direction was temporarily unblocked. Since the night and at the moment, we can see that traffic is moving. More than 100 freight vehicles were registered [to cross the border] towards Ukraine and 65 – to leave for Slovakia,” he said on the air of the national telethon on Wednesday.
Demchenko also said that as of Wednesday morning, there were around 350 trucks on the territory of Slovakia in front of the Vyšné Nemecké checkpoint in the direction towards Ukraine.
“If traffic is intensive, the queue will decrease significantly,” he said.
