KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has extended the 5-7-9% concessional lending program for combined heat and power plants (CHPPs) and thermal power plants (TPPs) to restore equipment damaged due to hostilities, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
“At the meeting, a decision will be made to expand the 5-7-9% concessional lending program. Now, CHPPs and TPPs will be able to use it to restore equipment damaged due to hostilities,” Shmyhal said at a government meeting on Friday.
Also, according to the prime minister, in Kharkiv region and in four other regions, the authorities have begun the reconstruction of facilities and heat supply networks.
“We are preparing pilot projects for the decentralization of the energy system. We are looking for resources and opportunities to do everything in a timely manner before the next heating season,” Shmyhal added.
