KYIV. May 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Minister of Justice and Administration of the Republic of Croatia Ivan Malenica visited the city of Irpin (Kyiv region) and saw the consequences of the enemy invasion, the mayor of the city said.
“Today, representatives of the delegation from the Republic of Croatia saw with their own eyes the consequences of Russia’s barbaric invasion of Ukraine. During the visit, I told the guests about the terrible crimes of the Russian army in Irpin and the history of the struggle of our community. We examined the Romanivsky bridge, which has become the only way of life for thousands of residents of the city and the region, the ‘cemetery’ of destroyed cars and the residential complex Irpinski Lypky,” Oleksandr Markushyn, head of the Irpin community, said on his Telegram channel on Monday.
Markushyn stressed that the Croatian government from the very beginning of the war supported Ukraine and condemned Russian aggression. The mayor thanked Ivan Malenica for his clear position and support of the Irpin community.
