By KYIV. May 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Czech initiative “Dárek pro Putina (A Gift for Putin)” has announced the end of its fundraising campaign for the purchase of a multiple launch rocket system RM-70 and 365 missiles for the needs of the Ukrainian army.
The initiative said on Twitter that it made it to raise $2.3 million over two and a half months.
“We have exciting news. We’ve managed to raise $2,300,000 to purchase a Czech RM-70 multiple rocket launcher and 365 rockets for it. In just two and a half months, 19,165 individuals and companies contributed,” it said.
The rocket launcher is expected to be deployed in a matter of weeks, the initiative said.
“Tomorrow, we kick off another fundraiser. We’ll be raising money for something that no one has ever fundraised for in the world. And it’s going to be truly explosive,” the organizers of the initiative said.
