BRUSSELS. Oct 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Executive Vice President of the European Commission for an Economy and European Commissioner for Trade Valdis Dombrovskis says the allocation of the next tranche of EU macro-financial assistance to Ukraine worth EUR 1.5 billion is a confirmation of solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
He made a corresponding entry on his page on the X network, under which Dombrovskis posted a statement from Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal about receiving the tranche.
“Today Ukraine receives EUR 1.5 bln in EU financial support to cover its urgent needs for 2003 – EUR 15 billion paid out so far this year. A clear expression of the EU’s continued solidarity with Ukraine and its people,” the European Commission Vice President said.
