KYIV. May 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The partner banks of the Export Credit Agency (ECA) in January-April issued 20 new loans totaling UAH 95.7 million, according to the ECA website.
In total, from the start of the exporter support program until May 1, 2023, some 67 loans were issued for a total of UAH 385.4 million.
The total amount of supported exports for all ECA products is UAH 3.891 billion, of which UAH 109.185 million is exports, contracts for which were insured by the ECA.
At the same time, it is specified that each hryvnia of liability insured in the ECA now generates UAH 10.4 of export earnings. It is also noted that in the export credit insurance portfolio, portfolio insurance prevails in terms of the amount of loans issued (UAH 251 million versus UAH 133 million, respectively). Instead, the volume of supported exports in individual insurance is UAH 2.5 billion.
In the regional top three in terms of the amount of loans received for exports, Zaporizhia region – UAH 123.505 million, Rivne region – UAH 59.7 million and Ivano-Frankivsk region – UAH 45.767 million. In terms of the amount of potentially received export proceeds from transactions supported by the ECA, Zaporizhia (UAH 2.409 billion) also holds the leadership, followed by Vinnytsia (UAH 325.727 million) and Cherkasy regions (UAH 244.113 million).
The largest volumes of exports under supported agreements were carried out to Austria (UAH 2.3 billion of supported exports), as well as Germany (UAH 376.35 million) and Poland (UAH 369 million).
Electric machinery and equipment (UAH 2.326 billion) remain the leader among the commodity categories of supported exports, in addition, paper and cardboard (UAH 312.903 million) have gained popularity.
At the same time, in 2023, the largest amount of supported exports was recorded in the supply of knitwear (group 61) – UAH 266.7 million.
