European Commission sends to EU member states developments on 11th package of sanctions against Russia

KYIV. May 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Last Friday, the European Commission sent to the EU member states its proposals on the 11th package of sanctions against Russia, European Commission Chief Spokesperson Eric Mamer has said on Monday.

He also announced the upcoming visit by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to Kyiv without specifying any details of the trip.

Earlier, von der Leyen said that the 11th package of sanctions will be mainly directed at the prevention of bypassing the previously introduced sanctions.

It is expected that on May 10 the permanent representatives of the EU member states will hold a meeting to discuss the new package of sanctions.
