KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has provided another UAH 220 million to compensate for utility bills when accommodating migrants in state-owned and municipal buildings, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
“We continue to further support the regions through the allocation of funds for compensation for consumed utilities when accommodating migrants in buildings owned by the state and of municipal ownership. We allocate another UAH 220 million for this. We help those who help Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes due to the war,” he said at a government meeting on Friday.
As the representative of the Cabinet of Ministers in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk, said on his Telegram channel, UAH 6.7 million were allocated to the central executive authorities to provide compensation to enterprises, institutions of state ownership, related to the sphere of their management; The Ministry of Education and Science received UAH 23.1 million to provide compensation to state-owned institutions related to its management and private educational institutions.
The Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development was allocated UAH 184.3 million to provide additional subsidies from the state budget to local budgets to compensate communal institutions, public educational institutions that were financed from local budgets, and institutions of common property of the territorial communities of the region and district, which are managed by regional and district councils; regional state administrations (respective military administrations) received UAH 5.6 million to provide compensation to private institutions (except for private educational institutions).
