KYIV. May 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved the establishment of Coordinating Centers for support of the civilian population.
“Today, the government adopted a resolution On the Coordinating Centers for support of the civilian population and approved the corresponding model regulation. The document was developed taking into account the State Policy Strategy for Internal Displacement for the period until 2025. It will be implemented as part of the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska to implement the Ukrainian program of mental health,” the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories said.
It is noted that the Coordinating Centers will operate under the regional, Kyiv city and state (military) administrations, and will provide support and support to the population affected by the war, in particular, IDPs and war veterans.
According to the statement, the activities of the Coordinating Centers will be aimed at resolving issues of social protection, including providing housing and facilitating employment for the affected population, providing psychosocial, medical and legal assistance.
