KYIV. May 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The hotel operator Reikartz stated it was not affiliated with the Cypriot company Reikartz Hotels and Resorts (Cyprus) Limited, which was included in the sanctions list by decree of the president of Ukraine on May 12.
“By decree No. 279 of the president of Ukraine dated May 12, 2023, sanctions were imposed on Reikartz Hotels and Resorts (Cyprus) Limited. Reikartz Hotel Management LLC did not have and does not have any relationship with this company, because since 2019 the owners of the latter are Kashutin V.O. and Dema A.M., who have Ukrainian citizenship,” the Reikartz official website states.
Information about the owners of Reikartz Hotel Management is available in open sources, the report emphasizes.
According to it, the Reikartz company has publicly condemned the war since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and systematically supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine, continues to work and pays taxes.
As reported, on May 12, 2023, Ukraine imposed sanctions against dozens of foreign companies associated with Russian individuals that own large assets in Ukraine, including the Cypriot companies Reikartz Hotels and Resorts (Cyprus) Limited and Friotron Holdings Limited.
The Reikartz chain operates under the brands Raziotel (a network of three-star economy hotels), Vita, Optima (wellness resorts and three-star hotels), as well as Reikartz Collection and Reikartz Hotels & Resorts (business and resort hotels of the categories “three stars-plus” and “four stars”). The network unites more than 80 hotels in Ukraine, Sweden, Kazakhstan, Georgia, and Uzbekistan.
