Kherson governor Prokudin on Kakhovka HPP explosion: Water to reach critical level in five hours

KYIV. June 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of Kherson regional military administration Oleksandr Prokudin, in a video message to citizens, said that the water would rise to a critical level in five hours, he also urged to collect documents and essentials and wait for evacuation buses.

In addition, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that “that units of the National Police and the State Emergency Service of Kherson region have been alerted to evacuate the civilian population from potential flood zones on the right bank of the Dnipro River, namely: the villages of Mykolaivka, Olhivka, Lvove, Tiahynka, Poniativka, Ivanivka, Tokarivka, Pridniprovia and partly the city of Kherson – Korabel Island.

The water level is rising and everyone who is in the danger zone needs to: turn off all electrical appliances, take documents and essentials, take care of loved ones and pets, follow the instructions of rescuers and policemen.
