KYIV. May 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko has confirmed the information about the death of French journalist Arman Soldin near the town of Chasiv Yar and offered condolences to his family and friends.
“Last night, French journalist Arman Soldin was killed as a result of artillery shelling of Chasoyarivska community. My condolences to the family and friends of the journalist and I thank everyone who puts his or her own life at risk to continue telling the truth about our war,” he said on the Telegram channel on Wednesday.
Earlier, AFP news agency reported that video journalist Arman Soldin died in eastern Ukraine, near Chasiv Yar, Donetsk region, as a result of a missile strike.
The 32-year-old French citizen originally from Sarajevo, Soldin, along with other journalists from the agency, arrived in Ukraine the day after the start of Russian aggression and since then regularly traveled to the front line, to the east and south of the country.
