Moldovan President condemns undermining of Kakhovka HPP by Russians, ready to provide aid to Ukraine in fight against floods

KYIV. June 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Moldovan President Maia Sandu condemned the blowing up of the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant (HPP) and said that Russia’s attack on critical infrastructure was tantamount to war crimes.

“I strongly condemn the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka Dam this morning. Russia’s targeting of critical infrastructure amounts to war crimes. President Zelenskyy, we stand ready to provide assistance in response to the floods and support efforts to mitigate the impact,” she said on Twitter.
