Naftogaz Group pays almost UAH 33 bln in taxes to Ukraine's consolidated budget in Jan-April

KYIV. May 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – In January-April 2023, Naftogaz Group paid more than UAH 30 billion in taxes to the state budget of Ukraine, which is 15% of all tax revenues to it during this time.

According to a report on the group’s website on Monday, as of May 1, 2023, the Naftogaz Group paid almost UAH 33 billion to the state and local budgets.

“Despite the war and its consequences, Naftogaz Group remains one of the largest taxpayers in Ukraine being a reliable support for the state treasury. In April alone, we accumulated UAH 6.2 billion in taxes, which is almost 13% of all tax revenues to the state budget,” Naftogaz Ukrainy CEO Oleksiy Chernyshov is quoted in the report.

As reported, JSC Ukrgazvydobuvannia (UGV), fully owned by NJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy, transferred UAH 6.32 billion in royalty payments to the country’s consolidated budget based on the results of its activities in January-March 2023.
