KYIV. May 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – As of May 6, there are no changes in the work of Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), which is temporarily occupied by the Russian forces. The power plant does not produce electric power and consumes it from the Ukrainian power grids for its own needs, National Nuclear Generating Company Energoatom has said.
“Five power units of ZNPP are in a state of cold shutdown, the 5th power unit is in a state of hot shutdown. Statements by pro-Russian propaganda information resources about a complete shutdown of Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant do not correspond to reality. Trust the official sources of information,” the company said on the Telegram channel on Saturday.
