By KYIV. May 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov noted the success of Ukrainian defenders in repelling an enemy attack on Tuesday night, emphasizing that Russian weapons can and should be countered by Western ones.
“Another unbelievable success for the Ukrainian Air Forces! Last night, our sky defenders shot down six Russian hypersonic Kinzhal missiles and 12 other missiles,” Reznikov wrote on Twitter.
The minister stressed that Russian terrorists have no chance of defeating Ukraine.
“Their weapons can and should be countered by Western ones. Thanks to our Air Force service members and our partner states, who invested in securing the skies over Ukraine and all of Europe,” he added.
