KYIV. May 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The online service for booking places for crossing the border by trucks e-Cherha was attacked by Russian hackers, the press service of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine (Ministry of Reconstruction) reported on Monday.
“The attention of Russians to the e-Cherha means that we are moving in the right direction and making innovative products. As of 11:00, we have already started recording attacks on our service. Now specialists are providing the necessary technical solutions to prevent Russians from influencing the work of e-Cherha,” said Anatoliy Komirny, Deputy Minister for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization.
According to the agency, the system is currently working stably. In addition, the department noted that the personal data of drivers is well protected not to be stolen by cybercriminals.
As reported, on May 8, an electronic queue entry service was launched at 16 checkpoints for truck drivers to cross the border. One can register on the website echerha.gov.ua or in the e-Cherha mobile application. From mid-May, crossing the border for trucks will be possible only by appointment in an electronic queue.
