By KYIV. May 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Russian occupation forces shelled Slovyansk, Donetsk region, on Thursday morning, an S-300 missile hit a private house, a senior woman suffered injuries, Head of Slovyansk Town Military and Civil Administration Vadym Liakh has said on Facebook.
“Unfortunately, our town has been shelled again. A missile hit a private house, one person was wounded,” he said.
Russian forces fired the S-300 missile that destroyed the private house, the official said. A fire broke out at the scene. In addition, two multi-apartment buildings, five private houses and cars were damaged as a result of the shelling.
Later, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported that the senior woman wounded in Slovyansk died in hospital. The rescuers have put out the fire at the scene of the missile strike.
