KYIV. May 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair has placed an order for 150 Boeing 737 Max 10 aircraft with the option of an additional order for another 150 airliners.
This is the largest order in the history of Ryanair, CNBC says. Its catalog value is estimated at more than $20 billion, however, as a rule, automakers make discounts when placing large orders.
The new 737 Max 10 will replace the fleet of old 737 model aircraft. Deliveries are expected to take place between 2027 and 2033.
Currently, Boeing produces 31 737 Max aircraft per month. Last month, the company announced that it intends to increase production to 38 per month, and in 2026 – to 50, after the opening of the fourth production line.
On Tuesday, the price of Boeing Co. shares increased by 2.3%, becoming the leader of growth in the Dow Jones index. The price of Ryanair securities in Dublin is growing by 0.4% on Wednesday.
