Slovak railway carrier ZSSK Cargo resumes acceptance of most Ukrainian agricultural goods – Ukrzaliznytsia

KYIV. May 10 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Slovak carrier ZSSK Cargo has amended the convention banning the import of Ukrainian agricultural products in accordance with the EU decision, Valeriy Tkachev, the deputy director of the commercial work department at Ukrzaliznytsia, said.

“Currently, in accordance with the decision of the EU, the unilateral restrictions imposed by Slovakia in April have been lifted, and a ban has been established only on imports to Slovakia of the following goods: wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower,” the report says.

It is specified that the carrier sent the corresponding telegram to Ukrzaliznytsia on May 9, 2023.

As reported, on April 19, ZSSK Cargo was banned from accepting goods from Ukraine. It extended, in particular, to cereals, legumes, oilseeds, vegetables, fruits, sugar, alcohol, honey and much more. The ban was to remain in effect until revoked.
