KYIV. Nov 2 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The Cabinet of Ministers has provided for financing the 5-7-9% soft loan program in the draft state budget for 2024, but the focus will shift to small- and medium-sized businesses, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said.
“The state’s focus is, first of all, on small- and medium-sized businesses. Processing enterprises should have priority. This will create added value, new production and jobs,” he wrote on his Telegram channel following a meeting with the participation of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, the Ministry Finance and the Ministry of Economy to support agricultural producers.
The Prime Minister said that in 2023, farmers have already received more than UAH 34 billion in preferential loans. This helps the sector continue to operate in challenging wartime conditions.
