KYIV. May 12 (Interfax-Ukraine) – On May 11, 2023, Ukraine received a World Bank loan in the amount of $132 million based on the results of the implementation of activities envisaged under the Accelerating Private Investment in Agriculture Program, the Ministry of Finance announced on Friday.
“The funds raised will allow us to continue to maintain the financial stability of Ukraine and reimburse priority spending, in particular in the agricultural sector, to improve the situation in the food industry and ensure food security in Ukraine,” Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko is quoted in the release as saying.
It is clarified that the loan funds went to the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine.
