KYIV. Dec 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrposhta, as part of a common project with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), announced on the EBRD portal a tender for the purchase of 250 vehicles (vans with a carrying capacity of at least 1,750 kg) with related Full Service services for the Ukrposhta logistics development project for implementation in 2024.
According to a report on the ProZorro portal, tender proposals will be accepted until January 15, 2024.
“The project will make important investments in the logistics infrastructure and vehicle fleet of Ukrposhta to improve the quality of services and the sustainability of the company’s business and network. It will support the transformation of the company’s operating model, as well as improve the quality of services and the sustainability of the business and network of Ukrposhta,” the report says.
The project is financed by a loan/grant provided by the EBRD.
The report notes that in mid-December 2023 it is planned to hold an explanatory online meeting with interested suppliers, where they will be able to ask questions about the tender documentation.
As reported, in October 2020, the Ukrainian government approved the attraction of EUR 63 million loan from the EBRD for the implementation of the projects of Ukrposhta “Logistics Network” and “Rural Branch.”
In March 2021, as part of the project with the EBRD, an agreement was concluded with VIDI Company for the purchase of 1,860 Citroen Berlingo L2 Worker vehicles for mobile departments with a total cost of UAH 1.3 billion.
As of September 30, Ukrposhta has 27,360 points of presence, employing 35,000 employees. Net income in January-September 2023 amounted to UAH 8.36 billion.
