Ukrtransnafta transfers over UAH 10 mln to state budget for managing seized oil product pipeline

KYIV. May 11 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrtransnafta has transferred more than UAH 10 million to the state budget for managing the Ukrainian section of the Samara-Western Direction oil product pipeline, the press service of the the Asset Recovery and Management Agency (ARMA) has said.

“These receipts do not take into account the taxes paid by the manager and the costs of maintaining and operating the seized property,” the agency said.

ARMA said that after the start of a full-scale Russian invasion, given the impossibility of resuming the operation of the oil product pipeline in the project direction of pumping oil products from Belarus, as well as the need to ensure the state’s defense capability to meet the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in war conditions, Ukrtransnafta began pumping diesel fuel in the reverse direction of work from territory of Hungary to Ukraine.

“The use of the pipeline in the reverse direction ensured full-fledged asset management, balance in the oil products market, and also increased the energy independence of the state under martial law,” the company said.
