KYIV. May 8 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Yuriy Lytvyn, the head of the Ukrvodshliakh state-owned enterprise, has been appointed head of the Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority (USPA), the corresponding order was signed by Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Restoration Oleksandr Kubrakov in agreement with the government.
“In this position, he will focus on improving the efficiency of the Danube Port Cluster, which is a key alternative route for export-import logistics, as well as attracting investment in the port industry,” the USPA said.
According to him, among the priorities of the new head of the USPA is also ensuring the stable operation of the “grain initiative” and the readiness of ports to resume free commercial shipping.
It is indicated that, as the head of Ukrvodshliakh, Lytvyn reorganized work under martial law, uniting the functions of state-owned enterprises for the maintenance of inland waterways as part of the reform.
In turn, Yuriy Pushenko will replace Lytvyn on the post of head of Ukrvodshliakh. Previously he was the deputy director for economic issues.
