Vodafone base station 'intercepted' missile – Fedorov

KYIV. May 5 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The base station of the Vodafone Ukraine telecom operator stopped a Russian missile flying to Zaporizhia, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov said on Friday.

“This happened in the village of Komyshuvakha, Zaporizhia region. Despite the damage, the very next day, communication in the area was fully restored due to Starlink, which was transmitted by the Ministry of Digital Development,” Fedorov said in his Telegram channel.

He thanked the telecom specialists for their 24/7 work and added: “Everything can be rebuilt. The most important thing is to save human lives.”
