KYIV. May 16 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, considers the position of the Georgian authorities on cooperation with Russia to be erroneous.
“History always remembers those who pretended not to notice the genocide, Nazism and its authors. And hardly anyone likes this historical memory. Georgia has allowed another airline to operate direct flights to Russia. Georgian Airways, and earlier Azimuth,” he wrote on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.
“But some people seem to be trying not to notice the rocket attacks on Kyiv, the destroyed Maryinka, those killed in Bucha, Irpin, Izium, the abduction of children … Someone seems to have forgotten the tragedy in Gori. Perhaps someone thinks that this does not concern them. And interaction with terrorists and murderers is normal. An erroneous position, history will put everything in its place, people will definitely do it as well,” Yermak said.
The Georgian Civil Aviation Agency has issued a permit for Georgian Airways to operate daily flights to Russia. Flights will begin on May 20, and on May 19, the Russian airline Azimuth will begin flights on the Moscow – Tbilisi – Moscow route.
