KYIV. Nov 30 (Interfax-Ukraine) – President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy met with soldiers who are conducting offensive operations in Kherson region and held a meeting on the operational situation in the region and the course of military operations on the left bank, the presidential press service said.
“During a working trip to Kherson region, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting on the operational situation in the region and the course of hostilities on the left bank,” according to the president’s official website on Wednesday.
Reportedly, the head of state heard reports from Commander of Odesa operational and strategic grouping of troops Andriy Hnatov, Commander of the Marine Corps of the Ukrainian Navy Yuriy Sodol and spoke with the commanders of the marine brigades and territorial defense brigades performing combat missions in the Kherson direction.
“The parties discussed the operational situation on the left bank of Kherson region, the course of hostilities, the future plans of the Ukrainian defenders and their priority needs. In particular, they discussed additional provision of drones and reinforcement of frontline air defense,” the press service said.
Zelenskyy presented the Presidential Cross of Military Merit, the Orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, class three, and the Order of Merit, class three, to the servicemen. Given the security situation, he handed over some of the awards to the commanders of military units for awarding at their places of service.
