IMC receives record yield of winter wheat for 25 years of 7.1 tonnes per ha

KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Agricultural holding IMC has received a record average yield of winter wheat – 7.1 tonnes per ha, which is the highest result in 25 years of the company’s activity, IMC CEO Alex Lissitsa has said,

“This year, IMC harvested winter wheat from an area of 33,300 hectares, threshed 236,000 tonnes of grain, the average yield was 7.1 tonnes per ha, a record for the entire history of the company’s management,” he wrote on Facebook.

He added that wheat threshing was completed on August 24, and thanked the team for the high performance.

IMC specializes in the cultivation of cereals, oilseeds and milk production in Ukraine. It processes about 123,300 hectares of land in Poltava, Chernihiv and Sumy regions. It owns storage facilities for 554,000 tonnes of grain and oilseeds.
