Fujikura Automotive Ukraine, Yarych confectionery bring number of authorized economic operators to seven

KYIV. Sept 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukraine’s State Customs Service has granted the status of an authorized economic operator (AEO) with the right to apply simplifications to Fujikura Automotive Ukraine Lviv LLC (Lviv) and Yarych Confectionery Factory LLC (Stary Yarychiv village, Lviv region).

“AEO status is a sign of the customs’ trust in an enterprise, which provides companies with access to a number of advantages and simplifications,” the State Customs Service said in a report on its Telegram channel on Friday.

These companies became the sixth and seventh with the status of AEO, in addition to them, Volyn Furniture Company – Ukraine, JTI Ukraine, Epicenter K, Nova Poshta and Stalkanat already have such status.

Simplifications under the Customs Code and the Convention on Common Transit were reported to include reduced risk for goods in transit, prioritization of customs formalities, and release of goods at the location of the business.

Fujikura Automotive Ukraine Lviv (Fujikura Automotive Ukraine) is a branch of the Japanese manufacturer of cables and wires Fujikura, the company specializes in the manufacture of electrical equipment for cars, wires and cables. The Ukrainian branch was opened in Lviv in November 2013 and launched several factories in the west of the country.

The Yarych confectionery, according to information on its website, was part of the Lviv confectionery Svitoch until 2000, and then came under the control of Nestle. In 2008, it was bought out and launched its own brand. Now, the factory is one of the leaders in sales in the segment of long biscuits and crackers in Ukraine, and in 2018-2020, investments from U.S. Horizon Capital were also attracted, after which the production lines were modernized.
