KYIV. Sept 15 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal has said that the government plans to attract $42 billion from international partners in 2024.
“This year we plan to attract $42 billion from partners, next year the amount will be similar,” Shmyhal said at a press conference on Friday.
In particular, $18 billion is expected from the European Union, and $1.1-1.2 billion in monthly support is also expected from the United States.
In addition, according to him, there is also an IMF program, programs from Norway and Japan.
“We have good prospects, but work in this direction is very hard to implement. Our partners assured us of support as long as it is needed, in the parameters that Ukraine will need,” he added.
The Prime Minister said that as of today, negotiations regarding the required amount of funds for next year are underway.
“I am optimistic that we will be supported and we will have a stable macro-financial budget situation,” Shmyhal concluded.
