US Senator Kelly visits one of Ukraine's Border Guard Service units

KYIV. Sept 19 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Serhiy Deineko met with U.S. Senator from Arizona Mark Kelly, who visited Ukraine.

“Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Serhiy Deineko met with U.S. Senator from Arizona Mark Kelly. The parties discussed the implementation of tasks by border guards, the use of the assistance provided and further joint projects,” the Border Guard Service said on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.

Reportedly, at the base of one of the units, Senator Kelly, together with the U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink, got familiar with samples of equipment and equipment that have already been used by border guards in various conditions. Major General Deineko also introduced Mark Kelly to the aviation component of the State Border guard Service.

According to the statement, “the senator noted the unshakeability of his position and the need to increase the volume of international technical assistance to Ukraine. The head of the department, in turn, thanked Kelly for the support of the Ukrainian people and directly the State Border Guard Service.”
