KYIV. Oct 23 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Germany will provide Ukraine with an additional EUR 200 million to support education, healthcare and drinking water supply, as well as urban reconstruction.
This was stated by the German government’s commissioner for the restoration of Ukraine, Jochen Flasbarth, during a visit to Ukraine, Deutsche Welle reports with reference to the DPA.
Since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Germany has contributed about EUR 1.1 billion in support to civilians, according to the Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development in Berlin.
On October 20, Flasbarth announced on the social network X that he had arrived in Kyiv together with German Federal Minister for the Environment, Steffi Lemke.
