KYIV. Oct 27 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The average daily volume of grain cargo at Ukrzaliznytsia for 25 days in October increased by 36% compared to September, to 71,500 tonnes, according to company data released on Friday.
At the same time, the total volume amounted to 1.56 million tonnes (20% of the total load – 9.991 million tonnes).
Some 726,300 tonnes of grain cargo were transported in the direction of ports over 25 days of October, and 619,200 tonnes in the direction of western land crossings.
The actual average daily delivery of cargo through railway border crossings in October decreased by 37 wagons compared to September, to 1,840 wagons per day. At the same time, the delivery of wagons with grain cargo increased by one wagon, to 480 per day.
The queues in the direction of the western border crossings of the entire range of cargo decreased slightly and amounted to 12,950 wagons as of October 25 versus 13,090 wagons as of September 30. At the same time, the queue of wagons with grain cargo decreased by 27.6%, to 2,340 wagons on the indicated dates.
