KYIV. Oct 31 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Centravis Production Ukraine, part of Centravis Ltd. holding, annually invests at least EUR 100,000 in digital transformation at the enterprise.
“In 2023, we, first of all, were working on a production planning system, we are considering the possibilities of using artificial intelligence. This is, for example, computer vision to check the surface quality of our pipes and count their quantity. This will help our workers speed up their work. We spend minimum EUR 100,000 on IT projects that help in the digital transformation of our company. Some projects can cost EUR 100,000-200,000,” said the head of the company’s IT department, Oleksandr Chasovikov.
According to him, Centravis began digital transformation in the mid-2000s. For this purpose, a solution based on ERP, a product of the German company SAP, was chosen. Since then, a number of projects aimed at transitioning to digital have been implemented annually.
“Last year, after the start of the full-scale war, we worked more on transferring data to the cloud,” Chasovikov said.
According to him, in general, for a modern industrial enterprise it is important to use all modern solutions that will help increase productivity and reduce costs. Especially if this company works with clients from different countries of the world. For example, Centravis, before starting to work with large international companies, undergoes certification and provides information about its digital solutions and IT security solutions.
If we talk about trends in the coming years, then, in addition to artificial intelligence, industrial enterprises will increasingly use augmented reality technology, predicts the head of the IT department of Centravis.
“The industrial world is actively digitalizing, and it is important for Ukrainian companies to keep up with their competitors. Although in the conditions of the full-scale war this is very difficult, since now we are forced to fight to maintain production,” Chasovikov concluded.
