KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – PrJSC Insurance Company Providna (Kyiv) in January-September 2023 collected net insurance premiums in the amount of UAH 372.6 million, which is 49.6% less than in the same period in 2022.
According to the company’s preliminary financial report, published in the information disclosure system of the National Securities and Stock Market Commission, the company’s gross premiums for nine months decreased by 18.3 times – to UAH 40.2 million, while premiums transferred to reinsurance by nine times – to UAH 589,000.
For the nine months of 2023, the company paid clients UAH 378.5 million in refunds, which is 2% more than for the same period in 2022.
The company’s administrative expenses during the reporting period increased by 6.7% – to UAH 46.6 million, sales costs increased to UAH 232,000 from UAH 150,000.
The financial loss from operating activities amounted to UAH 26.2 million, the gross loss was UAH 52.7 million.
The company’s net profit amounted to UAH 2.732 million, against UAH 124.075 million net profit for the reporting period a year earlier.
As reported, on March 23, 2023, the NBU canceled the licenses of PrJSC Insurance Company Providna to conduct business activities in the provision of financial services, in particular to carry out compulsory insurance of civil liability of vehicle owners, and on March 27 excluded it from the state register of financial organizations. The decision was made due to failure to eliminate violations of license conditions.
In May 2023, the company was excluded from the members of the Motor (Transport) Insurance Bureau of Ukraine.
