By KYIV. Nov 1 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Natural gas reserves in underground storage facilities (UGS) exceeded 16 billion cubic meters, the Ministry of Energy reported.
“Gas reserves amounted to 16.02 billion cubic meters. This is 1.3 billion more than planned according to the forecast balance of the Cabinet of Ministers on November 1, 2023 (14.7 billion cubic meters). Its reserves are sufficient to complete the heating season,” the report said.
At the same time, the Ministry of Energy added that two power units underwent short-term repairs within one day, but the electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is quite enough to supply consumers.
At the same time, according to its information, Ukraine on Tuesday from 11:00 to 14:00 provided emergency assistance to the operator of the Polish transmission system with a total value of 690 MWh.
The shelling of Russian aggressors on energy infrastructure facilities in Poltava region on Wednesday night damaged power lines, as a result of which three settlements were cut off: ten legal entities and almost 500 household consumers were disconnected.
In Chernihiv region, as a result of Russian shelling, more than 1,000 consumers were disconnected, in Sumy region, 3,270 consumers are still without power.
In Nikopol, Dnipropetrovsk region, households were cut off from gas supplies due to shelling.
In total, power plants supplied power to almost 34,600 consumers per day, most of them in Donetsk region.
According to data on the ENTSO-E website, on the first day of November, electricity imports from Moldova more than doubled, to 156 MWh, and imports from Poland were also added from 15:00 to 22:00 at the level of 2,300 MWh.
Exports to Moldova amount to 996 MWh, which is 2.1 times less than yesterday’s figure. In the Slovak direction, which has also recently become traditional for import-export, the available capacity of sections for auctions on November 1 was offered at zero.
