KYIV. Nov 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – The logistics division of one of the largest operators of the Ukrainian grain market, JV Nibulon LLC (Mykolaiv), has introduced an electronic vehicle registration service in the Bessarabsky branch in Izmail, the press service of the grain trader reported on Facebook.
“In war conditions, when the Danube ports have become almost the only reliable export channel, we are seeing the formation of a significant spontaneous queue of vehicles waiting to be unloaded near the Bessarabsky branch. This increases the risks for drivers given the situation in the region and negatively affects the operational activities of the enterprise. With the help of the electronic registration service, we simultaneously eliminate the queue and speed up the processing time for vehicles by pre-entering the data necessary to generate a consignment note,” said Serhiy Kalkutin, director of logistics at JV Nibulon LLC.
According to the report, the new chat bot, called LineUp NIBULON, allows you to plan a visit and unloading at the Bessarabsky branch with maximum accuracy. The functionality of the solution covers both the needs of drivers heading to the branch and department dispatchers.
Drivers using the service can register their trip, track the queue at the Bessarabsky branch, understand the number of trips planned by other drivers for today/tomorrow, and receive a pass to enter Izmail.
Nibulon promises that branch dispatchers will issue passes in an automated manner, which will limit their issuance and control the flow of vehicles near the branch and on public roads. In addition, the service will allow the company to manage export flows by crop and artificially limit the flow of vehicles with grain that is not scheduled for transshipment in a certain period of time.
“Subsequently, based on the results of local industrial operation, we expect to scale the solutions to the entire network of Nibulon elevator complexes and transshipment terminals, as well as expand the functionality to the level of planning not only a day, but also a certain period of time for unloading,” the company summarized.
