KYIV. Nov 3 (Interfax-Ukraine) – JSC Ukrzaliznytsia, according to operational data, in October increased the average daily volume of loading grain cargo by 44% or 23,200 tonnes to 75,700 tonnes.
As reported in the Ukrzaliznytsia report, 2.063 million tonnes were loaded during the month, or 16.5% of the total loading of 12.49 million tonnes, Ukrzaliznytsia said.
In September, 1.65 million tonnes of grain cargo were transported for export. Of this volume, 927,400 tonnes were transported to ports, 728,700 tonnes through border crossing points for road traffic. The largest volumes of transportation was to the port stations Chornomorsk-Port-Export – 442,500 tonnes, Odesa-Port (Export) – 285,900 tonnes, and Izmail (Export) – 148,500 tonnes.
The largest volumes of grain traveling to border crossing points for road traffic were destined for the stations Vadul-Siret (Export) – 136,600 tonnes, Yahodyn (Export) – 121,100 tonnes, Izov (Export) – 100,900 tonnes, Chop (Export) – 92,500 tonnes, Mostyska II – 90,500 tonnes.
In Zhmykhov, 51,900 tonnes were transported through border crossing points for road traffic in October. Of the total transported volume of sunflower oil being 71,400 tonnes, 64,400 tonnes were sent to border crossing points for road traffic and only 7,00 tonnes to the Chornomorsk-Port-Export station.
The actual average daily delivery of cargo through railway border crossing points in October decreased by 64 wagons compared to September 2023, or 3.5% to 1,787 wagons per day. In particular, with grain cargo at 7 wagons per day or 1.5%, to 472 wagons. In September, this figure reached 479 wagons per day.
The accumulation of cargo heading to border crossing points in October fell by 188 wagons or 1.4% to 12,905 wagons. In particular, the number of wagons with grains dropped by 604 wagons or 18.7% of 2,626 wagons, with oil – grew by 86.3%, to 831 wagons, with cakes – by 61%, to 557 wagons, with meal – by 4.8% to 726 wagons.
