KYIV. Nov 6 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Zaporizhia Metallurgical Plant Zaporizhstal continues to introduce energy-efficient technologies to save natural gas consumption.
According to the enterprise’s information on Monday, Zaporizhstal’s blast furnace workers took measures within the framework of energy-efficient work – “economical, but without loss of quality.”
“We add a little creativity to professionalism and awareness … In October, the blast furnace shop saved 314,000 cubic meters of natural gas,” states the plant’s information on Facebook.
It is noted that thanks to the competent use of energy resources, the temperature of the hot blast remains at the level, excess blast furnace gas is returned to the technological process and the consumption of expensive natural gas is reduced.
Zaporizhstal is one of the largest industrial enterprises in Ukraine, whose products are in great demand among consumers both in the domestic market and in many countries around the world. The plant specializes in high-quality hot-rolled steel rolls, hot-rolled sheets, cold-rolled sheets, cold-rolled rolls made of carbon and low-alloy steels, as well as steel strip, black tin, bent profiles.
The main consumers of the products are manufacturers of welded pipes, enterprises of automotive, transport, agricultural engineering, and manufacturers of household appliances.
Zaporizhstal is in the process of integrating into Metinvest Group, the main shareholders of which are PrJSC System Capital Management (71.24%) and the Smart Holding group of companies (23.76%).
