KYIV. Nov 7 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Registrations of new commercial vehicles (trucks and special vehicles) in Ukraine in October amounted to 977 units, which is almost double the figure for the same period last year, Ukrautoprom reported on its Telegram channel.
At the same time, compared to September of this year, registrations decreased by 3.5%, or 35 units.
Renault remains the market leader – 194 units. Second place went to MAN, which was not among the top five in September, with 94 units. Peugeot moved up to third from fourth month earlier with the registration of 79 cars, thereby displacing Ford (66 units) by one step from the pedestal. Scania dropped from silver in September to fifth place in October with 64 vehicles.
In total, according to Ukrautoprom, in January-October 2023, the Ukrainian fleet of trucks and special vehicles was replenished with 9,100 new vehicles, which is 67% more than in the same period in 2022.
At the same time, the segment of heavy trucks, according to the information and analytical group AUTO-Consulting, grew by 69% for 10 months, but in October there was a decrease of 2% compared to September (by October 2022 the increase was 49%).
“The market of new trucks began to slow down in October, and the leader also changed,” experts state, noting that so far there is no reason for pessimism.
According to their data, MAN became the leader in the segment with sales of 90 vehicles, but dealers of Scania, Volvo and Ford Trucks were also active.
As reported, in 2022, according to Ukrautoprom, the market of new commercial vehicles decreased by 2.3 times from 2021 – to 6,900 units.
