KYIV. Nov 9 (Interfax-Ukraine) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a telephone conversation with Indonesian President Joko Widodo on Thursday and assured that Ukraine is ready to resume supplies of agricultural products to Indonesia.
“I emphasized that despite Russia’s attempts to impede civil shipping in the Black Sea, Ukraine remains the guarantor of global food security. I informed my interlocutor about alternative grain corridors and assured that Ukraine is ready to resume supplies of agricultural products to Indonesia. I invited to join the global humanitarian initiative Grain from Ukraine and the eponymous summit in November,” Zelenskyy said on Telegram.
The parties also discussed progress in the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula, which Zelenskyy presented a year ago in Indonesia at the G-20 summit.
“I spoke about three successful meetings at the advisory level in preparation for the Global Peace Summit and invited Indonesia to join these efforts,” Zelenskyy noted.
“We also discussed the situation in the Middle East. Ukraine stands for the protection of civilians, the unhindered operation of humanitarian corridors and general de-escalation. Ukraine is committed to resolving the situation according to the ‘two states’ principle,” he added.
